You have reached the end of marathon season and it is time to step back for a moment and take stock of your year. You have done incredibly good work but the reality is our busiest time, what we call The All-In Season, is behind us.
This does not mean there is not work still to do. August is always one of the biggest, if not the biggest, months of the year for closings. Your customer service and contract management skills are going to be on full display.
You can expect to spend a lot of time at the closing table this month.
Of course you will still see referrals, but statistically, August is one of the slowest months of the year for securing new listings and executing new contracts. Whether you want to admit it or not, you need—and deserve—a break. Now is the time to take it.
August is the month to enjoy a vacation and back off a few days. Grab a few books and hit the beach, take naps, and spend some much needed quality time with friends and family.
Celebrate. It has been a hell of a year so far!
