Hi! I’m Gretchen Mitchell. I started my real estate career helping my father Chris McAllister in his real estate office in Springfield, Ohio while still going to school. I became a licensed Realtor in 2008 and started working in our property management department that same year.

In 2017, I became a licensed real estate broker, and in 2020 began working in our Columbus, Ohio office with Helen Nilsson. I love working with our owners and tenants. Work keeps me busy – but so does home! My husband Andrew and I have 2 young daughters who keep us on our toes.

How long have you been a part of the ROOST team?

I’ve been with ROOST since the very beginning. I got my real estate license in 2008, and my brokers license in 2017.

In your opinion what makes ROOST a different kind of real estate company?

ROOST is a very approachable company...everyone is welcome! And we help every step of the way! Buying, selling, investing and renting!

What is one thing that most people don’t know about you?

I’ve lived in over 20 different homes!

Favorite movie? Sports team? Band?

Love Country music, and Go Bucks!

What’s the number one myth that you hear about the Real Estate market that you’d like to clear up?

That renters will “hurt” a property. We have awesome residents that take great care of their homes.

What is the one thing you would tell someone who is hesitant to list their home out of fear of the market?

We have honest agents that are very knowledgeable and will keep their clients updated through the process.

Specifically… Starbucks iced caramel macchiato with whip.

Favorite part about helping people find their next home or sell their current home?

It's a wonderful feeling helping clients move to a home that’s perfect for them.

When you’re not working at ROOST what hobby occupies your time?

My husband and two daughters keep me very busy!
